For episode 248, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes working on what's now Phase Two Emmys coverage and the new season of TV Topics , which are in abundance on the site currently. This episode, we kick off with some Ari Aster and Eddington -related chatter (my review is here ). Then, we're getting into a more spoiler-filled discussion of Superman (reviewed here ), which leads into more of a look at James Gunn 's DC Universe. We also take your questions, get into a little video game talk, and then wrap with Myles bringing out his most devious version of the Letterboxd game yet. It's a nice long one, folks, just like you always seem to enjoy from us... As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 248th one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!…

For episode 247, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes working on Emmys coverage and the new season of TV Topics , both of which are in abundance on the site currently. This time around, we're going old school and dedicating a significant portion of the episode to a single topic. Yes, we're talking Superman , since my embargo has lifted and Myles has seen the film. My rave review is here , so definitely check that out. We also talk about some of the internet discourse about the embargo lift, which was...not great (and I wrote about earlier today on the site here ). Myles also has caught up with Elio , so we get into that, as well as the news about Pixar's hand in the making of the movie (my review is here ). Plus, your questions are answered, as always, including a tribute to Michael Madsen ... As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 247th one to date (here’s to many more). For episode 246, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes working on Emmys coverage and the new season of TV Topics , both of which are in abundance on the site currently. This episode has us doubling back to talk about the news of Denis Villeneuve being hired to direct the next James Bond movie, Myles giving his thoughts on M3GAN 2.0 , and both of us talking about our favorite films of the year so far. My piece on just that can be found here , by the by. Throw in some questions and we hit on a lot of topics, as is usually the case... For episode 245, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes working on Emmys coverage and the new season of TV Topics , both of which are in abundance on the site currently. This time around, we're talking breaking news (one story, as we actually forgot to hit on the other big news of the day), while also discussing some new/upcoming films. Myles has seen 28 Years Later (which I reviewed here ), so we get into that. I've seen a bunch, so I mainly focus in on Eddington and Jurassic World Rebirth , though that's hardly it. Plus, we both name our top ten movies of the 21st century, so be sure to listen for that at the top... For episode 244, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes working on Emmys coverage and a new season of TV Topics , so look out for more of those very soon. This episode has the two of us looking at a bunch of your questions, which in turn feeds into discussions of several new/new-ish releases. We both give our reactions to Materialists (reviewed by yours truly here ), while I chime in on 28 Years Later (reviewed here ), Deep Cover (reviewed here ), and F1: The Movie (reviewed here ), You can also hear Myles react to Predator: Killer of Killers (which I reviewed here ) Plus, Myles has seen The Life of Chuck (my rave is here ) and has a very specific take, leading to a pretty unique discussion. This time around, I'm prepping Myles for Elio , he's giving me his take on The Phoenician Scheme (reviewed by yours truly here ), and we're both discussing the films of Wes Anderson (which I ranked here ). That's only some of what we tackle on this episode, but it's a nice chunk of it! For episode 242, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes preparing for Emmys and a new season of TV Topics , so look out for more of those very soon. This episode features more of your questions, which leads us into a few different discussions. We talk about the Saw news, where Blumhouse is taking over shepherding that franchise, as well as the 28 minutes I saw of 28 Years Later . Then, we're returning to Myles' Letterboxd game, featuring Tom Cruise movies. There's even a bonus game at the end that's an old fan favorite... For episode 241, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes preparing for Emmys and a new season of TV Topics , so look out for that soon. This is a Cannes results episode, as the 2025 Cannes Film Festival is now in the books. We look at all of the prizes from the fest, from the Palme d'Or on down, while speculating on which movies could be potential Oscar contenders down the line. Myles has seen Friendship (reviewed by yours truly here ) and Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (reviewed here ), so we discuss those in fully detail than when I had seen them initially (we also ranked the Mission: Impossible franchise, following my list here ). Plus, I chime in on Bring Her Back (review here ), which I charitably did not care for. We recorded fairly late, so we kept it on the shorter side. Still, it's a quality episode... As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 241st one to date (here’s to many more). This is a Cannes centric episode, as the 2025 Cannes Film Festival is currently going on. We look at the contenders this year for the Palme d'Or, including Wes Anderson 's The Phoenician Scheme , which I've recently scene. Myles and I also name our favorite Palme winners, as well as go back to previous Cannes to name what would have been our picks for the prize. There's also questions from you the listener, as well as Myles getting into the Final Destination franchise, having seen Final Destination: Bloodlines . There's lots here, making for a good episode, if I do say so myself... This time around, the focus is on Tom Cruise and Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning , which I saw earlier on in the week. My review can be found here , so definitely check that out. We talk a bunch about that film, while also setting the stage for more to come. In addition, we bring back an old movie game that we haven't played in some time. My updated ranking of the MCU drops tomorrow, now that Thunderbolts* is coming out. My review of the film is here , so be sure to check that out. This time around, we have two main components to the episode. We get into the new Oscar rules from the Academy, as well as debate a pair of new releases. One is Sinners (my rave review is here ), now that Myles has seen it. The other is the second season so far of The Last of Us . Sinners , we're both absolutely over the moon for. The Last of Us ? One of the major ones is the news of a new Oscar category in Best Stunt Design, which comes as this season introduces Best Achievement in Casting. I wrote about these new categories here , but Myles and I get into it as well. We also talk about The Last of Us , as we get set to recap the episodes of the second season starting next week.
