DJ Kinetiks, also known as Andrew Legoas, is regarded as a highly technical turntablist, and musically diverse DJ. His high energy sets include hip-hop, electro, pop, dancehall, and various Latin genres. In 1999, Kinetiks began his career in South Florida shadowing many Miami-based veteran DJs. Eventually, Kinetiks gained enough experience to start playing in nightclubs, bars, shows, and even participating in DJ competitions. During this time, Miami was known for having the best DJs in the nation. Due to the high level of competition and opportunities Kinetiks experienced, he became one of the most well-rounded and accomplished DJs in the region. As an active member of the Miami hip-hop scene from an early age, Kinetiks found his love and passion for turntables and music. He soon cofounded an event production company and began managing and coordinating various high profile events throughout South Florida. Kinetiks received his first overseas contract to DJ in South America, which birthed his debut on live radio and television. Kinetiks then participated in two major DJ battles that were filmed on live television. He placed top three on BET's Spring Bling, and placed first on Mun2 The Roof TV. After seizing the spotlight and proving his skills on live television, Kinetiks was recruited to play at many high profile nightclubs in Miami. This eventually led to an opportunity to tour with local Hip-Hop legends Ephniko and Orion, performing at various locations along the east coast. After touring with the hip-hop group, Kinetiks became an assistant instructor at Scratch DJ Academy in Miami Beach. There he was given the opportunity through the academy's booking agency to expand his corporate portfolio performing for clientele such as Bentley Motors, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Express, and MAC Cosmetics. DJ Kinetiks's newest venture includes launching a brand new podcast series called the "KINETIKS Podcast". This new podcast includes a genre specific theme per episode. Episode 1 was released January 2022, which included a hand-picked selection of house music packed into 60 minutes. Future episodes might include 90s dance, dancehall, hip-hop, or even various Latin genres! Stay tuned!
