Today's guest is GenomesDAO, a group of medical technology and data security experts that is attempting to sequence the human genome using a Web 3.0 approach. The project's goal is to provide users self-custody over their genetic data, allowing them to learn more about themselves and their heritage while also having the option to capitalize on their data. We discuss in detail how this concept came to be by combining the power of Web 3.0 with an existing Web 2.0 framework, a DNA Vault that is using AMD encryption technology, how GenomesDAO will compete against massive competitors such as 23andMe, and how all of this will involve an NFT Drop, which is a one-of-a-kind work of generative art created from your DNA (if you want).
