This week, Madigan tells the story of Anarcha, Lucy and Betsey, the "Godmothers of Gynecology", who are known as being the enslaved test subjects for gynecological physician (and asshole) Dr. J. Marion Sims.

In this episode, we will discuss the history of experimentation on enslaved Black bodies, the story of the three women effected by Dr. Sims, and the lasting effect this history has had on the Black community to this day.
