Good morning, San Francisco! This is your weather update for Thursday, February 13th, coming to you hot (well, not literally) from the National Weather Service.
Hold onto your umbrellas, folks, because today is going to be a wild ride! We've got a High Wind Warning, Flood Watch, and High Surf Warning all rolled into one exciting weather cocktail.
Overnight, expect some serious rain that could be heavy at times. Temperatures will hover around a steady 55 degrees, with south southwest winds blowing at 17 to 20 miles per hour and gusts up to 40 miles per hour. We're talking about a potential half to three-quarters of an inch of precipitation.
Thursday is looking wet with rain before 1 pm, then transitioning to showers and possibly a thunderstorm afterwards. Temperatures will stay around 57 degrees, with breezy southwest winds hitting 22 to 24 miles per hour and gusts up to 44 miles per hour.
Thursday night brings more showers and potential thunderstorms before 10 pm, followed by rain between 10 pm and 4 am. Temperatures will drop to around 50 degrees with west southwest winds of 21 to 24 miles per hour.
Friday starts to clear up with a 30 percent chance of rain before 10 am, then mostly sunny skies and a high near 57 degrees.
The weekend looks mild with partly sunny skies on Saturday, and a chance of rain on Sunday, mostly before 4 pm.
Washington's Birthday (Monday) is looking bright with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 60 degrees.
