Have you ever heard the saying that self-care is an act of rebellion? In this episode, I talk about why especially for women of color, self-care can be the ultimate act of rebellion. We know that we earn less and are more likely to have more health problems and yet we are less likely to have access to resources or ask for help than our white counterparts. Of course, the reasons for all of these issues are because the system is not designed for us to be successful. So in this episode we talk about this radical act of rebellion, how our ancestors fought for our right to self-care, and how we can learn to put ourselves first so we can honor them.
