Joseph Semprini has been an artist all his life and rode the wave to Hollywood and the west coast celebrity art scene with all the excitement of the seventies and eighties and then never stopped. He did, over time, move from Shirley Temple’s former mansion to a more modest studio in Newport Beach, California.
About Joe Semprini and The Artist's Heart Podcast:
"I taught school for seven years in Connecticut. And then I said, you know, it's time to move in grow. And I just actually packed up my car and left. And I landed in Santa Barbara, which was a beautiful area. And I started showing in San Francisco and then I go back to Connecticut make the sculptures or paintings and ship them out to the West Coast or, and do some shows in New York or Boston and then but I was showing her all these galleries on the West Coast and kind of you know, got addicted to the California lifestyle."
"I never thought I'd be welding up things. When you weld up something and t gets suspended in the air... It's just really mind-blowing There's something about the welding that its hot metal burning. It's like the core of the Earth coming through the welder as so it's got this electric feeling for sure..The way they land, the way you set them. It just blows your mind."
" I'm a seven-year cancer survivor. And you know, you go through life and death that was pretty serious, then when you come out of that, you know life is a gift. I want to give portions to charity from the proceeds of the website because I believe art heals people"
