Pete Hegseth confirmation hearing on the Hill

Today’s show focuses entirely on the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearing in the Senate. I start with his opening statement, followed by his answer from the Chair about stories from the media and the allegations against him.

From there I divide most of the show into questions and answers from the Republicans on the Committee and then then same from the Democrats. I think you may find a stark difference in how the parties interpret their role for “Advise and Consent.”

In the end, I bring you a comment from one Senator who had his fill of the hypocrisy and the duplicity from his colleagues from across the aisle. We then close with a Senator asking Pete to remind everyone what he said was utmost priority as Secretary of Defense. He said, “To have the backs of the war fighters.” That is exactly what we want in a Secretary of Defense.
