Not about who votes but who counts the vote

In this episode, I break down just how bad it's been for President Joe Biden over the last few days. The inflation number was released and it's at a 40 year high. A Quinnipiac poll has the President at just 33% favorability after only one year in office. The Supreme Court voted down the OSHA mandate for the private sector. And, with one floor speech by Kyrsten Sinema, the administration's attempt to nuke the filibuster rule in order to Federalize elections, has been torpedoed.

The fact the mainstream media isn't mocking the President non-stop is a testament to how sympathetic the vast members of the media are for the Democrat party. In a sense of frustration, President Biden took to an open mic in front of the press and railed against the failed attempt to takeover elections. But, what was stunning, absolutely stunning, was the admission the Voter Protection Act has nothing to do with "who" votes! Regardless of how it's been sold to the American people by Democrats, President Biden said the whole point of the takeover would be to control who "counts" the votes.

This is stunning! This is a Stalin-esque way of thinking about our elections in this country. In fact, it was that other Joseph who said something very similar in 1923. Joseph Stalin, in reference to a vote in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, commented, “I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.”

In his off-the-cuff commentary to the press, our President destoryed his party's narrative that the Voter Protection Act was about civil rights or the right for people to vote. He was angry his party would not be able to control how the votes were going to be counted. It's scary to think how close we may have come to this plan becoming reality.
