Hello and welcome to Take Your Time, a Persona podcast in which hosts Jonathon Dornbush and Tom Marks are playing through Persona 3 Reload week by week along with the in-game calendar. On episode 9 of the Persona 3 Reload playthrough this season, the hosts cover the events of June 9-15, which offers the members of S.E.E.S. a chance to debrief following last week's full moon operation.
As last week ended in a climactic showdown that brought with it new revelations for the team, a new party member, and some important bonding moments, this week offers some insight into how the protagonist and team are grappling with what occurred. Tom and Jonathon dig into the fallout of that full moon, including Fuuka's decision on whether to join the team, as well as Yukari's feelings about the situation and what the team has now learned.
The week also gives us the introduction of some new gameplay elements with the reveal of Theurgy attacks, and of course the cool new outfits that come along with that moment. But in addition to life in Tartarus, the week also gives Jonathon and Tom a chance to further dig into some new and existing social links, develop their skills, and more. The duo dissect how their paths are both similar and divergent, in addition to offering their thoughts on some of the character relationships so far.
