The genesis of her first book came to be while she was treating a patient at her job. He needed a distraction from his treatments and every day she would tell a story and expound on it until one day, he said that she needed to write this all down.

Danielle notes the importance of all of her in-depth research and the impact it had on her storytelling. She even got a class of college students to write their midterm projects on the technicality of her dragon characters' ability to fly!

Aside from her dream to become a writer, which Danielle has clearly brought to life, she is very accomplished in all other areas of her life! She is an LPN with a special interest in Lyme disease, has a degree in kinesiology and exercise science, and has studied martial arts for over 20 years! She has over 500 tournament wins, national and world titles and has appeared on television and in front of major public figures, like Bill Clinton!
