In this episode, we talk with Armel Beaudry, the CEO and founder of Trebble.fm. Learn about Armel's journey from growing up in Cameroon to voice-first entrepreneur!
Armel shares the history of Trebble.fm, how it started as a music sharing app, and evolved into a shortcast platform. A shortcast is a 2-3 minute podcast. You may also know them as Flash Briefings on Alexa.
We talk about the advantages of shortcasts and how less is more; Shortcasts allow you to get what you need in the shortest time possible. Compare this to social media where you are encouraged to spend as much time as possible and getting what you need means wading through a lot of content.
Armel discusses the technology behind Trebble and what building his newest client (Bixby) was like.
Armel gives advice for those thinking of creating a shortcast or a podcast. He also discusses how to go from good to great with an established audience.
We wind up by talking about the future for shortcasts and voice. We discuss the value of interactive advertising and how it would open up monetization. We also talk about where the voice industry is and where it will go!
