Mission Statement:

Check A Vet is preventing Veteran suicide by raising public awareness and calling upon American citizens to meaningfully and routinely engage with Veterans

Steph Page “Chief” shares his perspective. His perspective is that of a leader. Steph became a Chief Master Sergeant in 2003 because he wanted to positively impact the life of his airmen. He was the senior enlisted leader of Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC), then the 12th Flying Training Wing Command Chief until his retirement in 2009. Shortly thereafter he was selected to start up a new program called Air Force Recovery Care for Wounded, Ill, and Injured during the height of the war. He has more than 20 years post military service of helping veterans in one fashion or another. He is currently working with Check a Vet and looking to help curve the high suicide rates in our community.

Chief talks about being inspired by great men. I hope he knows that for many of us who have met him, and worked with him, we see him as one of those great men. You will hear him mention how he noticed some of the historic nonprofits only supported the physically injured veterans. He is one of many that have fought to get support for those with PTSD. Founder Michael Carmichael, of Check a Vet, and his team are working together to help with the high suicide rates in our veteran community. I hope their passion inspires you to aid them in their mission to lower the suicide rate in our community. These guys are amazing.

Please share and like on IG, FB, Youtube and Twitter. I am always looking for veterans or first responders who have battled PTSD. Additionally if you support, provide services for these groups, or have extensive knowledge of benefits available for these groups please reach out. I would love to have a chat and share that knowledge with the community.
