Prior-service Marine and expeditionary airfield technician turned Brazilian Jiujitsu instructor and competitor. Elijah Butler overcame obstacles through grit, hard work, and the help of the Ronin Foundation – a non-profit organization that supports service members struggling with stress, substance abuse, PTSD, and other challenges by sponsoring their training in BJJ and mixed martial arts. Elijah now teaches at CXBJJ Academy in Swansboro, NC. His explanation of how he overcame obstacles by adopting responsibility offers a solution to others struggling in their preparation for military transition.
