Did you know that a large number of serious burns and scalds experienced by children actually occur in the home? Due to this, experts from Kids Safe NSW are urging parents and carers to be vigilant to reduce the risk of burns this winter, a time of heightened risk. The entire month of June is dedicated to burn awareness, particularly the prevention and appropriate first aid measures for burns and scalds.
