Hudson Card, Bijan Robinson, Xavier Worthy and JT Sanders were dominant on Saturday en route to a 38-20 win over JT Daniels, CJ Donaldson and the West Virginia Mountaineers. Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns jumped out to a 28-0 lead against West Virginia and although they were outscored 20-10 after that point, the Longhorns did enough early to ensure that game was never in doubt. Sark was really creative as a playcaller utilizing Xavier Worthy all over the field, even at quarterback with a 33 yard touchdown throw to Jatavion Sanders. Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson continued to do Bijan and Roschon things and the explosive tight end, JT Sanders continued to make a strong case for being one of the best tight ends in the country, blocking and receiving wise. On the defensive side, they played fast and sound. This is a defense that had three sacks, four tackles for loss, and 7 pass deflections! Players like Demarvion Overshown, Jaylan Ford, and D'shawn Jamison were dominant on Saturday but really this defense was elite as a whole and have been in their four home games thus far, where the Longhorns are only giving up 17 points a game and haven't allowed more than 20 points to any of their four opponents. I was very vocal that this was a must win game for the Longhorns and win they did, ahead of arguably their biggest game of the season in the Red River Shootout against the Oklahoma Sooners and Brent Venables.
