NDSU transfer Grant Nelson should commit to Kentucky basketball.

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe discusses transfer portal darling Grant Nelson. The North Dakota State basketball product is in the portal and would be a great pickup for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats. At 6-foot-11, he's a fluid scorer who can shoot from all over. He's not the best from outside the arc, but he's talented enough to pair extremely well with Ugonna Onyenso. Onyenso could be the defensive stalwart down low while Nelson becomes the new scorer for the Wildcats. Is Oscar Tshiebwe starting to fade out of the picture, or does he need to factor into this as well?

Keshad Johnson, a transfer from San Diego State, has set an official visit with Kentucky. Dawe explains why Johnson is the PERFECT player for Kentucky's rotation, and is the exact piece that Kentucky basketball needs to round out the roster (as long as Tshiebwe and Reeves come back, of course). Johnson was a big bodied power forward that was big for San Diego State down the stretch and into their NCAA tournament run. He would be an excellent backup power forward behind Aaron Bradshaw.
