In this episode we are commemorating launch day of the "The Law Student's Guide to Networking Course" by sharing the "why" because the course creation.
We remember, vividly, being in law school and being told that to find our first legal jobs we needed to network. We knew we needed to network, but we didn’t know how to network. That’s where the seed for a practical course to teach law students how to network was planted.
As a law student, you are still searching for your professional identity. This is part of what makes networking feel so uncomfortable and overwhelming. You need to take the time to make a strategic plan. Law school is a total time suck and definitely one of the most stressful things I have ever done. Networking fell to the bottom of the pile. We both were able to land solid summer clerkships and jobs after law school. But looking back, doing that was much harder and more time consuming than it needed to be.

We have taken our years of trial and error and put everything we know about professional networking as law students and attorneys into this course. Professional networking is not just meeting people at a networking event and collecting a pile of business cards. Networking requires making a connection and developing that connection into a professional relationship. We discovered that networking is a two-way street. It is not just what you could gain from a networking contact, but what you could give as well. We did not appreciate this as law students and this is critical to really cracking the code to successful networking. However, the defining point of networking - our networking philosophy - must be to make a connection, establish a relationship, and develop that relationship into one that is mutually beneficial.
In the course, we teach you how to think about your networking goals and then practically how to present that to a potential contact, and how to nurture that relationship into a mutually beneficial networking relationship. The course is comprised of brief video modules, module guides, and exclusive networking tools. We are also including the full ebook “The Law Student’s Guide to Networking.” This course takes you through each step to get you prepared to network, actually network using this preparation, and then we give you the skills and the tools to nurture these new networking relationships. We have taken the knowledge it took us years to learn through much trial and error and are giving it all to you in this one-of-a-kind online course. We have searched high and low and we could not find a single other course out there like this. As lawyers, we network to build our practices, But we were once law students, we were where you are right now and that is how we know how valuable “The Law Student’s Guide to Networking” really is. We created the course that we wish we would have had when we were just starting out.

The course is now open and available. As soon as you purchase, you have immediate access to the entire course - all of the video modules, the guides, the ebook, and some additional bonuses. You can start right now developing your networking plan and building your professional network. Click here to access this course TODAY!
