As the 2021 ACSI Legal Legislative Conference wraps up in Washington D.C., Mr. Brown has the unique opportunity to sit down with three key players within the Legal and Legislative ACSI advocacy group: Tom Cathey, the ACSI Chief of Staff; Steven Novotny, the ACSI General Counsel and Vice-President of Public Policy; and George Tryfiates, ACSI's Director of Governmental Affairs. The resulting Kingdom Culture Conversation that they enjoy is far-reaching but, in light of the recent news that President Biden has announced a federal vaccine mandate, the four of them spend some time on this topic.
Does President Biden's federal vaccine mandate have any legal standing based on the U.S. Constitution? Does OSHA have the legal authority to pursue this announcement and develop the rules that President Biden has ordered? Will the mandate be applicable to Christian schools? What is ACSI doing to pursue this issue?
