Agape boarding school abuse lawsuits have been filed alleging that plaintiffs who were physically and sexually abused during their stay. These lawsuits seek compensation for the trauma these survivors endured. What Is The Agape Boarding School Abuse Lawsuit?
Agape is a Christian boarding school located in Springfield, Ohio. The school serves children who are troubled, delinquent, homeless, or abandoned. Students attend the school for between six months and two years.
The school was investigated by the Ohio Department of Education and the local police in 2013 after the parents of two boys claimed that the school had sexually abused them. The former director of the school, Robert Bucklin, was indicted on charges of “knowingly, recklessly and unlawfully” sexually abusing a minor. He was later sentenced to five years in prison.
The school closed in 2016 and the students were moved to other homes.
