Doug is grateful for what life has taught him, along with the many lessons he has learned throughout his career.

One of the first jobs he ever had was as a lot attendant at The Home Depot. He started out loading cars and scrubbing toilets, eventually, he worked his way up to becoming a department manager in a matter of two years. This experience taught him how a combination of hard work, care for others, and a desire to be successful can propel someone towards achieving success.

Aside from his own love for personal evolution, he has a passion for helping others learn and grow. This is evident in his career path, which included positions in leadership, corporate learning and development, and practicing clinical marriage and family therapy.

He currently works for Powerful U, a personal evolution company with the following mission statement:

We are seekers who find the state of humanity inadequate. We believe the unrealized potential of the individual is both the source and solution to this problem. Our goal is to inspire fellow seekers to tap into their unlimited potential, through a personalized combination of philosophy, science, technology, and community.

He has learned we are limited only by the self-imposed barriers in our minds, and our relationship with fear. He truly believes fear is there to help keep us safe, but safety isn’t a place where we grow.

Being the Chief Inspiration Officer of Powerful - U, Doug plays an integral part in keep everyone in the organization inspired even if that means speaking to him on a heart to heart level minus the HR paper work BS.
