She originally toured and recorded with Eric Clapton, and co-wrote Lay Down Sally with him. She has also cowrote and recorded with Elton John, Aretha Franklin, George Duke, Belinda Carlisle amongst many other world famous artists.

In 2019, she reformed Shakespears Sister with Siobhan Fahey to great acclaim, recording a new album, and touring the world.
