Identify With The Lord “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…'” Genesis 1:26 (ESV) “I will make you my own people, and I will be your God.” Exodus 6:7 (GNT) (Ruth) “Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.” Exodus 6:7 (NLT) 2. Identify With Your Family ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Matthew 19:5-6 (NIV) “But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15 (NLT) 3. Identify With The Church “Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are." John 17:11 (NLT) “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one...” John 17:20-21 (NLT) “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:4-5 (NIV) The Result of Living In Unity “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes.
