He is a member of The Alliance Party, who are neither Unionist or Nationalist. They have have a recent surge in support making them now the third force, a shocking development in a country that is portrayed is always being out the constitutional debate between a divided society.
David discusses how the Unionist/Nationalist debate isn't a big thing amongst ordinary people and explains what they did tell him during his campaign.
He also explains what his motivations where to run, as he is not a career politician and left behind his livelihood to serve his community.
