Hi, I’m Rebecca Ledger from Whisk Cake Business School. Thank you for checking out my Cake Bites Podcast.Wherever you are in your cake business journey right now, I want you to know that you are not alone. I’ve been where you are now. After starting a cake business in September 2014, I left my career in law to it full time. I started teaching cake decorating in February 2019. I very quickly realised that there was as much need (if not more!) for people to have someone to go to for help and support in building a cake business, as there was to learn the practical skill. By putting my time and effort into working on my own cake business, and implementing strategies for success, I am now able to help and support lots of lovely cake makers and bakers every single day. When I started WHISK I decided that I wanted to be the person I wished had been around when I was starting my cake business – Someone who was prepared to share all of the information that they knew about the world of running a cake business without the reservations that come with feeling like you are creating “competition”. There is no such thing as competition amongst the WHISK crowd, there is a place for everyone and you are very welcome to be a part of that.
