What a great conversation with Coach Jonathan! A longer episode, and one filled with compassion, empathy, and stories.
Coach Jonathan, himself, overcame binge eating (although he didn't purge, there are many similarities with bingers and binge/purgers regarding their relationship with food)
Coach Jonathan shares his F.A.S.T. model. As he states, it's not related to denying yourself food. It stands for Feel, Acknowledge, Speak and Time.
He speaks to finding a better version of yourself through caring for yourself, and realizing that being "selfish" is not wrong, because the greater you love yourself and care for yourself, the more you can give to others.
I really enjoyed the part where Coach Jonathan brings up overcoming the "victim mindset". Truly important.
