Kentucky basketball has added a new staffer that could really help the direction of John Calipari's offense this upcoming season.

John Welch, a longtime NBA assistant and veteran of the game, has joined the Kentucky Wildcats' basketball staff. According to Coach Cal, Welch will have a big hand in the offensive structure this upcoming season and will be the head assistant when it comes to development for individual players. On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe discusses his excitement for Welch joining Kentucky and what it means for the Wildcats' offense. While UK may not be changing the way they play the game dramatically, the results and efficiency could be significantly different. Players like Rob Dillingham, DJ Wagner, Reed Sheppard and Adou Thiero are going to greatly benefit from Welch joining the staff.
